A new player, distributed in Italy from Avnet Technology Solutions, that is oriented on the SMB market with reduced costs and a bigger support also for the entry level hardware.
Certified for the IBM server and storage, VirtualIron introduces the LiveProvisioning concept, or the capacity to expand the infrastructure just adding new servers without the need to do any installation. Inside a Virtuallron environment, the servers that do the virtualization are usually diskless and, thanks to the LiveProvisioning system based on a network boot (PXE boot), they contributes to reduce the TCO, optimising the maintenance and the updating of the infrastructure. The same is simplified itself avoiding the necessity to have a storage dedicated to the operative system of the single servers and centralize even more the storage.
With SME oriented price, VirtualIron offers all the enterprise functionalities in a single pack, including all the functions available in the different editions of the VMWare counterpart.
