 >>Tivoli Identity Manager/Access manager

Solutions that offer a complete suite for the identity management of its own costumers, integrated with all its operating and application systems (through a plug-in) and extended to web applications by Tivoli Access Manager. Tivoli Access Manager manages and verifies the users' identity at 360°: from the access information to the synchronization of authentication systems.

It offers an administration console easy to use and it can be integrated with the user's desktop to automate security audit functionalities or utilities like password recovery or account restoration.

Tivoli Identity manager, moreover, makes available services of authentication in SOA modality, making the approach to the authentication modular and allowing to extend the infrastructure also through services, implemented by third parties, that have no access to the security backend management. Tivoli Identity Manager instead relies on Identity Manager or on an existing data source (usually a LDAP system) and offers services for management of secure access to systems and applications.

Tivoli Access Manager includes a system for dynamic management of security, able to offer more flexibility in comparison to a standard management based on "access groups". With Tivoli Access Manager the groups become rules and the access is controlled according to multiple factors, from the access level assigned to an user, to the security of the communication channel used, from the time to the client employed.

Besides, when it is Tivoli Access Manager that manages the access to the system, the company obtains an audit system of the integrated access in order to monitoring in an unambiguous way all accesses and activities on the systems.

Both Tivoli Identity Manager and Tivoli Access Manager are supported by a wide choice of platforms and operative systems as: AIX, HPUNIX, LINUX, Windows, z/OS.

Secure access suite to every kind of terminal, from System i to mainframes, including Windows Terminal Server environment.

The Encom solution enables a secure "client-less" access, also through internet, to the systems and to the company's information too. The Server PowerConnect/Webconnect can be installed on Windows and Linux servers and adapt itself to the operating systems already used in the company.

The main components of Ericom for the access to the company include:

  • Ericom Server that coordinates the safe communication towards Host ot terminal server environments, adding intelligence and management logic (i.e. preserving open sessions in case of unexpected disconnections);
  • Secure access portal that presents the applications and the sections available to the user who make the access;
  • The administration console that allows to manage all the Ericom Environment without installing anything on the client;
  • The plug-ins for Lotus/Expedito client (that introduce inside the Lotus client the access to sections);
  • The portlets created for IBM WebSphere Portal Server that allow to present, in a single environment, also the access to the applications published through Ericom server.
